The Intermediate shafts came on DOHC ZC engines (D-series blocks) and some B-series, IIRC. The D-series blocks almost all have the bosses cast in, and it's been found that several of the other engine blocks that Honda makes have some bosses on them that are useable for a custom bracket to mount the Ishaft.
It's not a big deal, since it basically only limits torque steer.
