Jack up your truck and try it. The differential is geared the same no matter how many tires are spinning, no matter if it's FWD, RWD, locker, LSD, etc.

The only time you'll get 2x speed out of a tire in this case is when one was spinning backwards, as is the case with open differentials. If they're both spinning forward, or one is spinning and one isn't, the speed doesn't change.
