After you get used to public transportation, it can seriously rock. It is so much more relaxing to be able to sit back and not care about the roads. No need to stress because it won't make the driver go faster, and you always have someone else to blame if that worries you. You can sit back and listen to some music or read.

If you figure in the extra time spent on a car (repairs and maintenance) and assigned a monetary value to all the hassles, public transportation really starts to win out.
