Certain days they have free shipping on all orders over $150, then your coupon works as free shipping.

sometimes their expired coupons still work but not always correctly and JC Whitney likes to reuse the same coupon codes over and over again.
There was a 20% w/ free ship some time ago. Probably doesn't work, also many First Time Buyers can get free shipping, might be a good time to place a phone order and ask for free ship and 20% off.
Or just be patient and wait, they always have some type of promotion.
