This is why I couldn't justify taking mine any further, the risk vs. reward was minimal. I precieved the gain to be substantial because I was not in control of the locking, however the reality was I can only shift moments before the ECM would have and the net savings is minimal and definatly not greater than my normal variation in mpg, so I could never quantify it.

You guys really need to give the PLC controllers some thought, they will automate all this sillyness into simple comands and you'd only need one switch to bump up or down for upshifting or down shifting.
