So, because of all the time I've spent trying to get it unstuck - Nope, haven't even touched Cara. I also had to fix a lower control arm on my wife's Saturn, which didn't take long, but I ended up cutting a bolt in half instead of dropping the fuel tank to get it out, then putting a new bolt in from the opposite side. I hate dropping gas tanks.

As far as the truck goes, it's about 1/2 mile up a very steep hill in the woods at my Father's place. My favorite trails are the really dangerous ones, go figure. I guess we're going to use a hi-lift to pull the frame off the tree, then just drop the truck sideways off the hi-lift, so I should be able to just drive it off the mini-cliff after that.

Sometime by next Monday, I will definitely go check out the van, though. Once I do, I'll post the results here and we'll go from there.

Funny how we all got busy with other things all at once.

I have been catching up on some work and getting ready for the winter with firewood and such. Fixing the woodshed, a skylight etc.

Also had a small accident involving a finger and my jointer...shudder...I'm fine and it's healing up good but it sure got my attention. I know better of course, than to hurry when using maim-worthy toolage.

The TCC lock is working well but not showing on my FE yet probably because I'm still learning to use it and tend to stay in gear longer than I would have before. Also there has been road work and such here. At least it will be simple to do A-B-A with this set up when I get the chance.

It's a Pennsylvania thing... (Stump jumpers.)

Actually, I walked 1/4 mile back up the hill with the hi-lift, 3 chains, some random tools, and a brand new 8,000# come along winch.

Hooked a chain to the truck, chain to a tree, winch between the chains. Got the winch loaded down just enough to put pressure on it, and SNAP!... Father goes ass-backwards toward the tree, does a reverse somersault, into a barrel roll, and completely evades the attacker.. GO FIREFOX!!!

Instead, I just jacked the truck up w/ the hi lift, and pushed it off the jack head. Once the frame was off the stump, no problems.

Still haven't had time to play with the Van, though... it's actually starting to irritate me, because I have to work on everyone else's crap all the time when they don't know what they're doing. Sometime this week, I'm going to take a day and tell everyone to get bent, so I can actually get something done.

This is why I couldn't justify taking mine any further, the risk vs. reward was minimal. I precieved the gain to be substantial because I was not in control of the locking, however the reality was I can only shift moments before the ECM would have and the net savings is minimal and definatly not greater than my normal variation in mpg, so I could never quantify it.

You guys really need to give the PLC controllers some thought, they will automate all this sillyness into simple comands and you'd only need one switch to bump up or down for upshifting or down shifting.
