It looks like a good car.

It makes sense for a Battery company to build an electric car.
Electric motors are straight-forward and well understood. EV controllers really aren't all that complicated.

Batteries are the heart of an EV. Any company that understands the batteries, and proper way to charge, discharge, and balance them, stands to take the lead in EV production.
