The problem is that it wasn't really accurate at all. At 65 MPH, Adam had like .1 seconds to react and flip that switch, both times. Human error is accountable here, as well. Also, there are far too many potential variations to count a 1 mile stretch as valid.

There is no way their "test" was more accurate than using a tuned scan gauge. Unfortunately, it's what I've come to expect from them.
