Wagonman76 - I put a screwdriver through all of them to pre-drain them, unless they're seal-side down. I then wipe them down and remove them with my bear hands, usually.
I usually just tighten them up as much as I can with my index, middle finger, and thumb in a triangle position around the filter, which usually isn't too much. They tend to make contact and never go more than 1/2 turn after that. They get "tight" very quickly.
