Fuel gauge shows one blinking bar. I added about two gallons but it hasn't changed. I will probably add some more to see if it changes. It is on a slight downslope.
It has the best stock stereo of any car I've ever owned.

The State of Charge (SOC) is a function of temperature. It is possible that when the car 'gave up the ghost,' it was running at normal speeds and had a good charge on the traction battery. Mostly, it takes care of itself.
There are reports that at least 3 gallons are needed to get the fuel tank to register the new value but mostly for the NHW20. I've never really studied it for the NHW11 so I don't really know. Since you put in 2 gallons, you're good to go.
One side effect of the bladder is no air to support water condensation.
