This is where I'd spend my time.
Subaru has done a really comprehensive job with the fore-body,and no doubt it could be improved, but you'd have to do some drastic surgery and with the envelope wrapped very tight as it is,it would be a major deal.
The smoke trace will show you exactly where to mod, essentially bringing the body up to the smoke. That's all Kamm did.

after talking to you I have read through the paper again a lot of it is still hard to wrap my head around, but... I did read the thing about how the body was designed to the low drag at yaw moments and when it wasn't going in a perfect straight line
that's a whole lot of genius!
speaking of smart ideas.. I was just looking at the shelf thread where you mention the xr4ti going to get one of those up and do some photo editing.
(thanks again for pointing out figure 10 to me)
I may be able to take that idea some where here since that's the area that needs the mod. I won't be concerned with yaw moment aerodynamics until the yearly Alcyone (japanese name for the XT and SVX) dragon meet. even then I want to get very high mileage on the way up and down so I can afford a cabin this year instead of a tent!
