Got a torch? Heat 'em up, and you're gonna need new balljoints if they're that bad.
The jack method is still available at this point, if you have an old axle stub and a mallet. You should see a flat riser on the side of the ball joint taper point (on the knuckle), you can whack that good and it will temporarily deform the taper point enough to let loose on the ball joint. Or, since it's already done for, you could just put the nut back on and whack away at the head of it.
