Bear in mind, I have personally been to the USS Arizona Memorial twice and felt an intense emotion of Patriotism and honor for those brave souls that were attacked that day.

It is easy to place a derogatory remark upon those who senselessly attacked us, and who indeed, "awakened the sleeping giant". The fabric of US History resides in our response and the post-war efforts to assist in rebuilding a multitude of Nations, including our own.

I will say it until I'm blue in the face. Those who do not learn from History are destined to repeat it. Derogatory statements are only an excuse to perpetuate the view of a time long-past. How many of us here have vehicles made in Japan?

This is a fuel economy forum, not an Historical debate. Look at how far we all have come since Pearl Harbor. Keep potential slurs to a minimum, and we can move on to drag coefficients and torque converters.
