Might be a NV1500, 2500 or 3500. If so, they are better gearboxes than a T-5.
I believe the 3500 has a super-low granny, which is probably useless to you. Either way, endeavor to perservere. You are on the right track.
BTW, I think it is smart to establish baseline improvement on dino-diesel before wandering off into the mysteries of WVO.
