my wife and i both have very good jobs, and at this time umemployment in this area is well above average, some places above 20%. Her job is 30 miles from where we live, and my job is 55 miles from where we live. My car gets better mileage, and i would rather myself drive farther then her, for safety reasons. In other words, im more disposable then her. Ive looked into it, and i would lose money to take a job anywhere closer until i get through the police academy, which i start next year. At that point, we'll be able to move much closer, and i can hopefully starting riding my mountain bike to work again. But again, thats a year and a half at least before that can happen.
