UPDATES!

Okay, before the updates actually happen, something more important.

QUESTIONS!!!

So today my trouble is about the fuel line. The Honda OEM fuel lines and filter aren't going to do it, so I'm going to need to hook up a custom job if I want to get anywhere. I was planning on doing this with some -6AN and braided SS lines, as seems to be the way that people do it. However, I have several questions, and a bit of fear over this.

Basically, I'll work my way through this process step by step and part by part and you can tell me where/if I'm wrong

1. Cut off the OEM hardline stuff and put on one of these: Earl's Performance 165056ERL - Earl's Performance AN to Tube Adapter Fittings - Overview - SummitRacing.com

The installation of it is shown here:

Am I to take this to mean that I don't actually need to flare the hardline, because the way this installs flares it on its own?

2. I screw on one of these fittings (Summit Racing SUM-220690 - Summit Racing® Hose Ends - Overview - SummitRacing.com) to the hardline adapter, which then turns into braided steel, runs into another of those fittings, which then screws on to...

3. An inline fuel filter: Earl's Performance 230106ERL - Earl's Performance Inline Fuel Filters - Overview - SummitRacing.com

4. The other side of the filter then has another female to -6AN fitting, which runs all the way up to the fuel rail.

5. ???

What kind of fitting do I actually need to attach it to the fuel rail in place of the standard banjo bolt? There are some with AEM rails using custom fittings for that, but I'm a bit confused how to make this work with a stock rail.

Also, refer to this:

The guy is using 90 degree bends to prevent the hardline/fuel rail from having to support the weight of the fuel filter. Is this necessary? 3 of those damn 90* bends cost ~40 bucks on their own, and I'd rather avoid spending that if I don't need to. Though to be fair, it's only ~25$ more than my plan with the normal fittings.

Thoughts? Input? Thanks! Would like to order this junk tonight since I'm moving fast towards finishing this troublesome project
