That make me feel a lot better about the non isolated design.
Jack, I own and use the PFC40HM version of the same charger/DC-DC converter from Manzanita Micro since the last 4 years and it works flawlessly.
No isolation technical issues at all. It is a buck and boost converter, serving from 85 to 244 AC input to 15to 360 VDC (never tested higer voltage) at a rated 40+Amps from a 30 Amp service line. IGBTs final stage under variable forced cooling.
With it I recharge in a daily basis the NiMH of my Prius PHEV.
