Um... I thought of something when looking at the stupid service manual that I didn't notice before... and I'm not sure how it happened.

When I took the carb apart to clean it, as I was cataloging and cleaning parts, I didn't pay too much attention, but I don't remember pulling out a needle jet.

The dilemma there is, that it shouldn't have run at all if that were the case.

So when I pulled it apart, I remember pulling out a main jet, and a needle jet holder, but no needle jet. I checked the jet size on the needle jet holder, which is .105, OE.

Anyone have any insight on this? I've got a few other carbs I'm going to bring over this weekend that I'll be able to take parts from, maybe I can find a few other jets that I can use in different sizes that will let me test the carb settings the way the exhaust is setup currently. It's getting close to time that I should be really jumping on working on this to have it ready by spring, and I've still got to finish the exhaust, recover the seat, and install the trunk/rear lights, then later on, I have to make the new front lights and headlight, but those aren't necessary to have it ride-ready by spring.
