Yet another EV maker claiming cold is no big deal - this time Daimler with their Smart EV:

Maybe he was hedging his statement by qualifying that running just the heater is not a big deal in its individual contribution to reduced range & performance in the winter! It's just one negative factor among many negative ones.

That article implies that the pack (in fact the entire interior) is heated or cooled during the charging process as needed.
