Someone asks: Metro/Swift taller transmission swap... is there a 3.28 final drive?

Someone e-mailed me this question:

Quote:
I went to buy what I thought was a 3.54 transaxel and when I checked the ratio by turning the input shaft in 4th gear I found that it was a 3.28 ratio. I use the 3.28 number because I searched and found a reference to this ratio on a swift for sale in England. Have you heard of this ratio?
The lowest numerical (tallest geared) final drive I've heard of is the 3.523 from the 1.3L 4-cylinder SOHC 8-valve car.

I wonder if you're seeing figures for the new Swift that's available in Europe, and which is a completely different car than the Metro/clones we had here until 2000(ish).

As for getting the 3.28 result comparing input to output revolutions, I'd want to double-check that to be sure.
