I USED to always be 1 pt from loosing my driving priviledges after coming back from 5 years on living/driving in Germany back in Dec 78. About 10 years ago I sold my radar detector at a garage sale and have never gotten a ticket since! It was giving me a BIG false sense of security since it would not pick up VASCAR, a computerized visual device, if they can see you they can clock you. Since then I slowed to only 9 mph over the speed limit with good luck. I started hypermiling in 2001 and slowed down a bit more. My Geo 1.0 3 banger does not get me in trouble, but I REALLY have to watch my loud pedal in my 12 second SRT4...nothing like smoking your tires in 2nd gear at 50 mph next to some punk in a large tired, hood scouped, loud Mustang!
