It's cheaper monetarily than some other oils, yes. I agree with that. That doesn't mean that they're not raping you in profits. Until someone can show me a valid reason that recycled animal fat should cost me $7 a qt, I'll stick with "normal" synthetics.
PS - I don't pay $7 a quart (plus shipping) for my Mobil1...
