I believe my Tempo has a 12 gallon or so tank. Today, I switched my air filter out for the old paper filter. At first, the engine quit a few times because the ECU didn't fully recalibrate, but it was okay after. A little less power, though. The weather was a LOT friendlier than it has been, with no rain all day and a sunny, low 50's afternoon.
The car seemed to run a little warmer this morning, but the needle moved just over halfway between hashmarks. Since there are 6 hash marks, that would lead one to believe that each mark is 2 gallons. If that was true, I would have gotten almost 40 MPG today. However, taking into account the past E and F capacity, I may have hit my goal of 30 MPG. I'll see what the final calculations are after this tank is used up.
