daqcivic: im not sure if im understanding your questions correctly. but from what i am understanding, id have to say no. the mechanism that allows the mirror to move is tightly packed in there, so i dont think youd be able to chop up the mirror without destroying it entirely.
NachtRitter: were you able to obtain a broken plastic mirror or did you get the oem one with the porcelain-like base? the plastic one wouldve been way easier to work with. you're relatively close. maybe we can meet up some time. ive never checked out a vx in person
