I think humans should always have a means to physically disconnect a computer, ALWAYS. Not "ask the computer nicely to stop" but to be able to rip out its spine while you are driving. They are good at things like injecting fuel and abs, etc, but we don't need to test their ability to listen to us when we ask them to stop on the road.
