The only time i would use this would be for long stop lights. As soon as the engine is stopped, i would restore the power, just like what i do now with the key. I turn it off to stop the engine and turn it back to the "II" position so i'm ready for when the light turns green.
I have been looking more into the schematics and found out what pin does what. Pin 2 (IG1) controls DRL, alternator, turn signals, interior light, wipers, radiator fan, A/T, c/c, and combination meter. Pin 6 (IG2) controls igniters/coils, alternator, fuel injectors, A/T, c/c, and combination meter.
With this, it looks like when power is cut to pin 6 (IG2) the engine turns off.
Can i wire a switch like in the pic below that will turn off the engine?
