Now that the temperatures have climbed to above freezing rust is creeping in again. After not driving for a week, yesterday I went to pick up the Wife. I'm driving along when I get to a light that can't be timed (MRT - "Maliciously Random Timing" I call it). When I applied the brakes I heard the usual scraping sound of rust getting polished off the discs. Then I realized I was 8km from home. I drove 8km without using my brakes even once! Just timing, coasting and engine braking were enough until then, though I admit that luck with lights/traffic/other drivers had a lot to do with it.
