fabrio.-interesting idea on the glow plugs in the coolant. that's a new one. the glow plugs draw 9 amps each.

the diesel having no throttle plate pumps so much cool air through at light load that it cools the engine off going down hills.
The glow plugs in an aluminium block with coolant passing through is nothing new
I was testing one at -30 degrees C about 10 years ago.
Didn't make much difference to engine warmup time on a 1.8 turbo diesel Focus running in a climatic windtunnel.

IIRC The tips of the glow plugs should not go into the coolant or there'll be localised boiling & corrosion of the tips. They should be seated against the aluminium close to the coolant passage..... However this picture shows otherwise (veg oil heater for SVO)

Note the thermistor clamped on the side to regulate the temperature. That probably solves the problem
