Bad engine/tranny, good body interior 2000 Metro - what to do?

Hi Everyone.

My brother-in-law has a 200 Geo Metro (3-cylinder 5-speed) that has both a bad engine and a bad tranny.

He just bought a Hyundai Accent to replace it.

What should he do with the Metro? (Or, should I offer to take it off his hands?....)

The body is in pretty darn good condition, and the interior is almost perfect.

If the tranny was good, and I didn't already HAVE an electric Geo Metro, I would convert it to an EV in a heartbeat.

These things usually die from rust, or collapsing on it's own control arm mount. 2000 was the last year they made them for non-fleet sales.

Any ideas for the best thing to do with it?
