I could guess some trimming had to be done. I see they generalized the relays for "japanese".. I may try it. I have no ecu, at least 3 miles less wiring than today.. I simply may try it out.

Heads up on the 194 bulbs.. they are skinnier at the socket than regular 194. I already took my license plate light aprt to squeeze in some tin foil on one side of the socket.

..and I took a slow ride in some hills. 2k rpm, tall gear..no pings. My theory that there was a diode needed in the ignition feeidng coil was a good one. The LEDs act as a diode..power on or off. It is a mystery. I will continue swap as well, with relay included.
