Most wired mowers have a circuit breaker which stops you getting electricuted if you run over the wire. If you don't trust that or its an old one you can buy a breaker which plugs in between the wall and the mower. Or better still get your house fusebox changed to breakers and protect all plugs.
As someone who has cut the wire (UK 240v AC) I recommend the breaker.
