Hey there! Love seeing all these Ninja 250R threads. I bought mine last year, and have been "lurking" here for a while and finally decided to register.
Extending the windscreen is a good idea. A v-shape between the original mount points and the windscreen will raise and push back the windscreen as much as you want. I made a 3" extension out of sheet aluminum, and it turned out great (and produced a measurable increase in fuel economy). 15-40 synthetic would work, so long as it's 4-stroke motorcycle oil. 30w bar and chain oil on the chain? Might come off too fast unless you're using an automatic oiler. Swapping the o-ring chain for an x-ring chain is supposed to reduce drag (haven't tried it myself, though).
