Not everyone who wants to save on fuel and help the environment can run out and buy a new hybrid vehicle. But with $100 per barrel of oil becoming a reality – as did $1 per litre pump prices – how can you modify your existing older car to maximize its motoring efficiency?
And as per the new media world we live in, there's an online community for such "green gearheads" called Ecomodder.com
According to the site, "ecomodding" is similar to the more traditional form of gearhead enthusiasm, hot-rodding. Apparently, they enjoy the technical and mechanical challenges of improving a machine and its driver.
