I've been riding w/o fairings and shifting around 5-6k tach, riding at ~60 mph, no trouble getting pretty consistent 88 mpg. When I did ride slower with fairings, shifting around 3k, I was barely doing any better. I am going to put the fairings back on but not worry about my economy. I'm predicting an average of around 85mpg. I will be updating the fuel log on this site.
