CNG is a very viable alternative fuel and is responsible for the deepwater disaster (that and ideots figuring we can drill through liquid methane and survive)

CNG can be made from manure and garbage, it has long been said that the US citizens crap out/throw out enough to run the rest of the world.

Methane and its cousin natural gas have been ignored because of storage issues, now that they can be cheaply reformed into synthetic diesel I see no reason not to use them. Better to use domestic non-renewables than foreign ones. Oh wait, CNG is renewable, cough methane.
