So currently lacking a rigid cover for our now revived hot tub, I'm wondering if anybody has tried this idea yet?

We just ordered and received one of those bubble blankets as a cheap insulator for summer, but it's not going to cut it once it gets cold again. It does however make a relatively large difference in heater cycling vs. uncovered.
