I'm waiting for the local Honda people to let me have a test drive.
Reviews here are mixed - some praising the assist system others noting that the car becomes far less entertaining when the batteries run out - of course a hypermiler would probably conserve them until needed. The Insight itself has received mixed reviews too - a lot of people criticising some aspects like the start stop system needs you to keep your foot on the brake causing 'red rage' to the person behind. Plus the jiggly ride and awful interior.
It would be interesting if Honda made a stripped out CR-Z without batteries and sold it for less. I would be in the queue to try that one.
