Sorry for the lack of updates in a while.

This is, unfortunately, my "back-burner" project.

I ordered and now have a clutch with spines to go on the Chevy S-10 transmission, but with just a little smaller friction area diameter, so it fits INSIDE the Mercedes manual flywheel.

Yesterday, I ordered a Mercedes clutch cover plate. Mercedes parts are expensive, so I am glad it's only the one part I need!

Once that shows up, I can put together the Mercedes engine, Mercedes manual tranny flywheel, custom clutch, and Mercedes cover plate to see how it matches up to the Chevy transmission.

Then I can take measurements and see what will be needed for an adapter plate to mount the engine to the transmission.

(PS - the 240D itself got hauled off to the scrap yard a few weeks ago.)
