With your 4-cylinder engine, I'm betting the most economical cruising speed is just after your highest gear engages / torque converter locks up. Just guessing, but it's probably fairly close to 75-80 km/h or 50 mph. So if 55 is the minimum you feel you can safely cruise, it's probably not too bad. Your ScanGauge should help you answer that question pretty quickly.
