That's what I was afraid of. As mwebb said, it's a sensor designed for CAN systems. Maybe if you had a spec on the sensor itself, independent of what the smart circuit does, you could bypass the "smart" part. But I would not do that unless I knew everything, because I am implying cutting it up, and I think that VDO sensor is expensive, yes?
