Don't forget the basics of ecomodding

I've been beside myself trying to sort why my economy has taken a nosedive recently, and mainly busied myself checking out things under the hood and fussing at my wife for having a lead foot.

Lately we've been using the current mpg scanguage, which will show the average for a trip. I'd been managing to improve it each day on the trip to and from work, but I was missing that elusive 30 mpg goal in the Maxima. On a hunch I decided to check the tire pressure and discovered I had less than 30 psi in the fronts! I brought them all up to about 45 psi and what a difference that made!

It's amazing how the simple things will slip on by the radar!
