Hydrogen is just an unnecessary middleman. It's like turning electricity into heat into steam into movement via a steam engine into electricity via a generator into motion via a motor. Sound inefficient? It is.

I probably should have posted this in the "Fossil Fuel Free" section. However, hydrogen allows long trips without batteries. The day will come when the handful of Lithium mines dry up, too. And, hopefully, we won't have to replace the fuelcell as often as the batteries (7 -10+ years?).
