Before I tried to optimise economy I found myself always trying to rush journeys - I have a fast car and liked to go fast. But the pressure was always there to be at the front of the queue so that nobody held me up - pressure pressure pressure.
Now going for best FE means I just compete against myself. I don't need to race or beat anyone else (although annoying BMWs still get 'sooted' every now and again
)
But it does make journeys far less stressful for me, the car and the bank account.
