I do understand the frustrations of on both sides of the fence on this one. I for one seldom drive 70 MPH on the freeway (more like a little above 60) and locally on several two lane roads I drive you find some putz doing 35 in a 50 and no chance to pass for miles. Grrr, I try to remember that patience and mercy are virtues. If I have the road to myself I often putter more than being in a hurry.

I've seen a lot of road rage and yup had the big truck up my tailpipe even when I was doing a couple over in several speed zones. It will tick you off either way when someone else is driving inconsiderate of others. Drivers ed used to teach that when you drive that you may be right and the other guy wrong and you might end up "Dead" right and a grease splat. Using wisdom when your and others safety is involved seems only prudent.

I'm not saying these quotations apply in this situation but it's food for thought in any confrontation.

Do not ever say that the desire to "do good" by force is a good motive. Neither power-lust nor stupidity are good motives. - Ayn Rand

Stupidity cannot be cured with money, or through education, or by legislation. Stupidity is not a sin, the victim can't help being stupid. But stupidity is the only universal capital crime; the sentence is death, there is no appeal, and execution is carried out automatically and without pity. - R. Heinlein

And yes, sometimes I wonder how I've lived so long.
