Will, if you can find them, '88 HF doors are lighter than the rest... something about the impact beam being shaped differently or something like that.
Also, if you need to replace door glass, you need the glass for the same generation as your doors. 90-91 glass won't fit in 88-89 doors, and vice versa. There's about 3/8" difference in the width of the glass and it won't close/open properly. Been there, tried that.
