Definitely get that fixed. It will pay for itself in a few tanks at most.
Your engine uses that sensor to determine how much fuel to pump into
the cylinders. If it's giving a bad signal, the computer has to pump
extra fuel to prevent a lean condition (because lean conditions can damage your engine).
