Definitely get that fixed. It will pay for itself in a few tanks at most.
Your engine uses that sensor to determine how much fuel to pump into
the cylinders. If it's giving a bad signal, the computer has to pump
extra fuel to prevent a lean condition (because lean conditions can damage your engine).

Generally a bad 02 sensor will cost you about 25% of your potential mileage.
Not fixed in stone figure but a good general amount.

thanks. im going to change my o2 sensors, plugs and wires, oil to synthetic, check tire pressure. im not into the bed topper thing. plus i have a toolbox so it wouldnt fit. im looing into the scanguage also. it looks really cool. i dont drive perfectly but 14-18 just seem swrong so i was wondering. thanks everyone

oh one more question. how would i find out which sensor it is? before cat or after?

The diagnostic code should tell you. The front sensor is the one that will affect your mileage. The rear one is to check and see if the system is working properly, and should not affect mileage.

thanks. i changed my front o2 sensor. i havent noticed any real changes my mpg but it may take a while for the comp to adjust. Im changnig my plugs and wires and oil this saturday and if its still being all bad, i guess ill change the fuel filter. any other suggestions?

so i changed my plugs, wires, oil to synthetic. my mpg is still around 18. im thinking maybe fuel filter, injectors, cleaning my k&n, idk what else it could be.
