I set the timing back to 10° today and test drove....I lost a lot of my low-end torque. I used to be able to smoke the tires on the driveway in third from idle....not with 10° timing. It starts quicker, and seems to drive "easier". The computer advanced the timing a LOT more with the base set at 14° than at 10°. The comp advances the timing to ~26° with 14° timing and only 15° with 10°....anybody know why? Shouldn't it be linear? Maybe leave the spout connector plugged in and see what it does when I change it?
