so you don't have a shift light at all, right?
Shift light comes on based on load, if you are on a really flat road you can cruse at 35mph in 5th gear with the engine spinning around 1,100rpm, the engine however had decent power for most driving needs around 1,800rpm and lots of power for passing at 2,500+ RPM.

do you have the v-tec solenoid hooked up?
