I just bought a Honda Civic HX with a manual transmission. This car has the shift light in it and it was not coming on hardly at all the way I drive and shift through the gears at lower RPM's. When it did come on I would be in third gear slowly increasing speed in town and then the shift light would come on. I have only driven the car 50 miles just to get it home, so it's too new to me to really tell you when the shift light comes on at the exact RPM's in each gear.
